Kareem Salama - When I Fall I remember driving down on three fifty nine Saw a homeless veteran riding his bike The red white and blue waving off his handle bars And all us who sent him off to war driving by in our cars And I recall a hot day in the city of Cairo Saw an old woman and her babies on the side of the road A good man came by put bottled water in her lap She smiled and I cried saying why didn t I do that And I; I don t know I don t know if I give anything at all With these millions of moments that I ll take before I fall But I; I do know I do know that I d give anything at all For just one meaningful moment to catch me; catch me when I fall. I d known her for many years of my life She was a lady poets write about. She was my wife. I never found my pen, never gave her the time or the dance Now just like everything else I m asking for one last chance And I; I don t know I don t know if I give anything at all With these millions of moments that I ll take before I fall But I; I do know I do know that I d give anything at all For just one meaningful moment to catch me; catch me when I fall. And there s still life in me and a wife with me so I ll strive to be A man who takes the chance, learns to dance, and grabs the moment with these hands With these hands And I; I do know I do know that I d give anything at all For just one meaningful moment to catch me; catch me when I And I; I don t know I don t know if I give anything at all With these millions of moments that I ll take before I fall But I; I do know I do know that I d give anything at all For just one meaningful moment to catch me; catch me when I fall.
